9 obstacles that prevent you from being financially independent

The desire for change, education, perseverance can make you financially independent
We all want a minimum of financial comfort. Having a comfortable amount of money in our pocket, we can eliminate major worries and do more with our lives. Financial freedom will allow us to do more by traveling, for example, trying new things and experiencing all that is beautiful in life. Despite these benefits, only a small number of people reach financial independence. But those who made the "first million dollars" behaved differently compared to the vast majority of us. Finding your own personal development path can be extremely difficult. Here are 9 obstacles you have to overcome to reach the "first million" or at least they will help you increase your future financial success:
1. Not doing but talking about it
It is easier said than done. Talking about how to do it is more convenient than getting down to business in a new project. The process of actually doing something is difficult. People are used to validating their ideas and dreams all day long, but the only way change can really happen is to come out of your shell and make the first change. It can be challenging and even scary to change your life or try something new, but it's the only way to get into a mindset of growth, evolution and reaching your goals.
2. Your worry about what people think
Not everyone will like you or approve of your decisions; certainly not 100% of the cases. We want to feel loved and there is a benefit we have when we try to make those around us happy. However, this should not happen to our own disadvantage. When you try to live a different life, you have to be different from others. This might mean sometimes saying "no" to your friends or colleagues at work. This could annoy some and what is difficult will become even more difficult in relationships with others. But life is too short to be yourself and not do what you want to do now. Worrying about what others think of you will achieve nothing; and then there are so many people who will support you in fulfilling your dreams.
3. You waste time with the wrong people
They say that we are the average of the five people who frequent us the most. If this average is that of a normal person from our country (this is not necessarily bad), then you will only be average. This does not mean abandoning your lifelong friendships, but rather it means being careful who you spend time with and what mutual value they add to your relationship. So spend more time with people who motivate you, give you energy and make you want to be better. This will not only make you really happy, but will always push you towards success.
4. The temptation to blame others
There are times when life can be brutal. We can't control everything and when things don't go our way, we tend to blame others. When situations are out of our control, blaming others only diverts our attention from what we should be doing next. When the results come from our direct actions, guilt can be even more toxic. Then we have to look in the mirror and take responsibility for them. We can blame others for our whole life, but that will not make us better. No matter how good your self-image was in the beginning, taking the blame for your failures is a necessity on your path to success.
5. You don't think to leave your comfort zone
To differentiate yourself from everyone else, you have to think differently. This means stepping outside conventional thinking and pushing things in alternative directions. Today we have the ability to surround ourselves with people and content that confirm our daily habits. However, gaining different perspectives through experience, reading and meeting others can open doors that will allow you to approach problems in a new, unique way. Get rid of your vulnerabilities and get out of your comfort zone.
6. You are easy to please
Routines are hard to change. This is especially true if you already have a family or other big responsibilities. Staying in the current situation is a guaranteed way to prevent your growth. Your desire to increase your chances of success and to accept new challenges will lead you to your intended goal.
7. The desire not to change your habits
To become the best version of you and to reach your "first million", you must be prepared to make major changes in your life. This does not mean changing yourself according to a false standard. Rather, it means looking objectively at your life and your habits to find places where you can be better. The desire for self-reflection and an openness to criticism will allow you to improve exactly in the areas that hold you back. Change is extremely difficult and may put your life on fire, but this will only do you good.
8. Lack of confidence in yourself
No matter how much some people want to be financially independent, most will not believe that they will achieve this goal. Have faith in yourself and in what you can achieve! The people we admire most, overwhelmingly, are not genetically different from us. They worked harder, smarter, are more introspective and maybe had a little luck. Luck cannot be controlled, but you can create a greater probability of success. If you don't have this belief in yourself, it will prevent you from even trying.
9. You don't learn or explore more
Successful people are learning continuously, always. When Bill Gates was asked what superpower he wanted to have, he said, "To be able to read really fast." Warren Buffet sent the same message. Both managed to achieve extreme success, largely due to intellectual curiosity and hunger for information. Stay up to date with new technologies and trends not only to broaden your horizons, but even to find new passions and areas of impact. Curiosity, always asking yourself "why", will help you develop your creativity and the skills necessary for success. Source: www.entrepreneur.com
