Caring for body pillows and maternity pillows
Daily use of pillows
● Pillows should be shaken and kneaded before use to maintain the shape of the filling and the even distribution of down inside the pillow.● Dressing and undressing the pillow is done with great care in the case of pillows with curved ends.
● Close and open the zipper carefully because, as the cushions are bulky, the pressure on the zipper is high.
● Do not force the curved parts of the cushion in the opposite direction, risk of damage to the cushion covers!
● Do not vacuum or beat the pillows to avoid gathering the filling in one place.
Maintenance of the outer cushion cover
● The outer cover of the pillow can be washed weekly at 40° Celsius, because at higher temperatures the fabric wrinkles intensively and requires a lot of effort and energy when ironing.
● The outer cushion cover can be ironed at medium temperatures suitable for cotton, preferably by steaming.
● The outer covers are equipped with large zippers for easy on and off. The inner covers have a zipper to balance the filling according to the needs of the user.
● The pillow can be washed in the washing machine (large capacity, 7-9 l), at a maximum of 40° Celsius, no more, delicate wash! Do not use chlorine or other bleaches. Do not wash white items together with colored items.
Maintenance of cushion filling and inner cover
● Washing the filling too often will cause unnecessary wear and tear on the cushions, so it is recommended to wash them about twice a year.
● Put only one product in the washer/dryer for proper and even cleaning/drying without other clothes.
● For fiber-filled products, you can use a regular detergent without bleach or conditioner.
● Machine wash (large capacity, 7-9 l) or hand wash at 40°C to remove grease and finish the wash with a gentle drying cycle. Use 1-2 tennis balls in the car.
● Make sure the pillows don't have open zippers or holes where the stuffing can come out during washing.
● The fluff should not come out of the pillow or clog your washing machine. Rinse the pillow well so that no detergent remains in the filling. Inner cover and padding are not ironed.
Drying stuffing in inner cover
● Dry the pillow together with 2-3 tennis balls or washing balls. By bumping the pillows while spinning, they will help to distribute the filling evenly, thus avoiding all the filling in one place.
● During tumble drying, remove the pillow from the tumble dryer and shake it every 15-20 minutes to evenly distribute the filling.
● The fluff should not come out of the pillow or clog your clothes dryer.
● Make sure the pillow is completely dry before using. If you are drying your cushions outside, do not hang them on the wire or in direct sunlight. Dry the pillow evenly.
● If, however, "lumps" of fluff have formed after drying or washing, they must be kneaded and unfolded manually.
● If you want to make sure that the pillow is completely dry, you can weigh it before and after washing. If it weighs more after washing, it means there is still water in it and you need to let it dry again. Moisture can lead to the appearance of bacteria, unpleasant odors or even mold.
Storage
● If you do not use the product for a long time, protect it with a textile cover, away from excessive heat, moisture and dust. When reusing, repeat the above procedures.warnings
● Do not leave the baby unattended around the pillow or on the pillow, danger of suffocation or falling!
● The pillow is a support for babies, but it cannot replace the mother's attention!
● Keep the product away from fire or strong heat sources!
● Keep the packaging out of the reach of children! Danger of suffocation!
Average duration of use
● The average duration of use of the pillow (pillow back and filling) depends on the intensity of use, body sweat or body weight of the person using it or if it has flattened and should not exceed 2 years.● The average duration of use of a pillow cover is approximately 6 months (we consider it a consumable) under normal conditions of use.
