A Personal Legacy

"I have a deep love for traditional Romanian 'pânză topită' (crinkled gauze) because it is so incredibly kind to the skin. I grew up surrounded by this fabric; my grandparents crafted their shirts, linens, and curtains from homemade 'boiled' or 'raw' canvas. To me, their fabric always smelled of sun-ripened wheat. Even now, when I handle this pânză, I find that same nostalgic scent—it makes me crave a warm loaf of bread with a crunchy crust."
